Moa Island sits in the western cluster of islands in Zenadth Kes – the Torres Strait. The Mualgal are a strong and proud seafaring people with timeless trading and cultural connections to New Guinea in the North and the Australian mainland in the South.

The Mualgal artists of MOA Arts draw creative inspiration from their living traditions, their connections to the land, sea and sky, ancestral stories, family, and totems. Through their artwork, they keep those traditions alive and, in the process, keep Zenadth Kes arts, crafts and culture strong for everyone.
