ABOUT THE ARTIST:

 

After completing a Bachelor of Applied Arts at the University of South Australia Mel specialised in glass blowing, undertaking the Associate Program in the glass studio at JamFactory. Mel received an Australia Council Grant in 2004 for the development of new sculptural work and travelled to Seattle in 2005 as a teaching assistant at the international glass school, Pilchuck. She currently runs her glass practice out of JamFactory and teaches at the University of South Australia.
